About equity certificates
An equity certificate is a special kind of equity instrument developed by the savings banks. Sparebanken Sør's equity certificate holds the ticker SOR.
The savings banks' equity certificates are similar to shares in many ways, for instance in the way the two instruments are treated when it comes to taxes. The differences lie mainly in ownership rights to the company assets and influence over the bank's governing bodies.
